Report: Key Witness in Aaron Hernandez Trial Could Take Stand This Week

The prosecution's star witness in the Aaron Hernandez double murder trial testified Monday that the former tight end shot and killed two men following an incident at a nightclub, and then fired a gun at him months later.

Alexander Bradley was with Hernandez on the night of the slayings.

Daniel de Abreu (left) and Safiro Furtado.

Seven months after the double murder, Bradley was shot in the face in Florida. Singleton and Hernandez allegedly had a hushed conversation, and took the SUV with her when she left.

When Bradley woke up, he testified, he saw "Mr. Hernandez with a gun to my face".

On July 15, 2012, the two chose to go out to the Boston nightclub Cure. In court on Monday, Bradley showed a large scar between his eyes and said explained that his right eye was a prosthetic. "He didn't really like people staring at him". "He had a problem with most things other people didn't have a problem with".

Bradley took the stand and first spoke about the events leading up to the shooting.

Hernandez said that he hated when people "try me" or "try to play me", Bradley testified, so they left again.

As they pulled up next to the BMW, Bradley claims Hernandez said, "Yo", to get the occupants attention and then yelled once more before he started firing five rounds into the BMW.

It was hours after a spilled drink and a smirk allegedly set off an ill-tempered Hernandez at Cure Lounge on Tremont Street in Boston. According to Bradley, Hernandez came to his house in CT that evening in a silver Toyota 4Runner.

He said Hernandez put the gun he had sold him "inside the engine...under the hood" of the SUV.

At the club, a man with braids bumped into Hernandez, spilling a few drops of his drink on the former National Football League star.

He said Hernandez was angry that Abreu didn't act apologetically or respectfully afterward. Bradley settled a lawsuit with Hernandez in court.

In February 2013, Hernandez shot Bradley in Florida in an apparent effort to silence him.

Instead, he said, Hernandez told him to roll down the window, shouted at the men, and fired five shots.

As police investigated the 2012 shooting, Bradley said Hernandez began showing signs of paranoia around iPhones and helicopters and "just assumed everyone was a detective".

"I got one in the head, one in the chest", Hernandez said, according to Bradley.

Hernandez reportedly took off his shirt, wiped the handgun with it and threw the revolver out of the window. Bradley then described the shooting scene.

"I rolled the window down, and when we got up to the auto, as we were approaching, he put his hand up to my chest and pushed me back", Bradley described.

He even claimed Hernandez told him he had nightmares about the murders.

Hernandez shot Bradley between the eyes and then pulled him out of the vehicle and left him to die, Bradley testified. Bradley lost an eye in the shooting.

In addition to two counts of first-degree murder, Hernandez's charges include witness intimidation for allegedly shooting Bradley in the face during a 2013 trip to Florida.
