Bozdag Some EU members do not want a strong Turkey

Turkey and Europe are locked in diplomatic crisis after Germany and the Netherlands blocked Turkish ministers from campaigning for a "yes" vote in next month's referendum on expanding Erdogan's powers.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, having already accused European Union members Germany and the Netherlands of being fascists and Nazis, has extended his war of words to the entire bloc.

"Since the agreement there are about a million refugees who have not made the attempt to come to Europe via a unsafe route, who have not given the last money that they and their family are able to scrape together to unscrupulous smugglers", Winterstein said, "and I would like you to think about these people or about the 1,000 refugees who did not die at sea compared to the year before".

"Make not three, but five children".

Amnesty International reports that five refugees, including one child, have died on the island of Lesbos owing to the bad conditions.

On Friday a Turkish pro-government newspaper depicted Chancellor Angela Merkel in a Nazi uniform with a Hitler-style moustache, labelling the German leader "She Hitler".

"Turkey-EU is a closed file", added the European affairs expert. Berlin reacted by saying it will not take part "in a game of provocation".

"Whoever crosses the line should not believe that he is allowed to propagate his political views [here in Germany]", the foreign minister stressed. Let us remind you that you can not play games in this region and ignore Turkey, ' he added.
