Snow Forecast This Week

Weather alert: Snow and ice warning for Northern Ireland

The status yellow warning advises that showers of snow are expected overnight and on Tuesday morning.

Spring has not sprung yet - as a weather warning has been issued for snow and ice in Northern Ireland. 1 to 3 cm snowfall is likely across many areas above 100-200 metres away from west-facing coasts whilst 5 cm or more is likely to settle above around 300 metres.

Motorists are advised that some risky driving conditions can be expected as road temperatures are likely to be close to freezing or below.

It was issued this morning and is in effect from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.
