What Wenger told me concerning his future - West Brom Coach, Tony Pulis

Arsene Wenger to stay at Arsenal until 2019, verbal agreement reached

The Daily Telegraph reports the Frenchman "wants to stay on" though claims the two-year contract extension offered by the club is still to be formally agreed.

His contract expires at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger looks set to continue to infuriate his detractors at Arsenal for at least a season longer, having made a decision to remain at the club beyond the end of his current contract and discuss a new deal with club officials.

It had been thought that the experienced manager had chose to step down, but according to The Mirror, Wenger wants to stay with the Gunners and will put pen to paper on an extension to his current deal, which expires this summer.

"At what point do Arsenal fans wake up to the fact Wenger's excuses are now utterly ridiculous and he is making our club look utterly ridiculous".

Cue 48 hours of speculation about what might be going through the Arsenal manager's mind, with some outlets reporting that he had chose to stay and others citing "insiders" insisting no final decision has been made. "They could finish in the top four and win an FA Cup this season - that's not too bad is it?"

Australia play China on Thursday, and if they win it would set up a showdown against Cuba that could decide a round-two berth. The blue-and-white scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.

Merson thinks Wenger wants to stay... unless there is another club already in the pipeline.

There were further protests in the stands as Arsenal succumbed to a fourth defeat in five league matches, but Wenger stopped short of calling the actions of those fans disrespectful. It will not necessarily be linked with the top four because I've done that 20 times.

Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are both expected to report for global duty despite injury concerns, a source has told ESPN FC.

That may be so, but there was little evidence of such appreciation from his current Arsenal team, who did not play like a side eager to help their manager out of a hole. Arsenal were second-best in every department on Saturday bar one - possession. They could not handle Albion's counterattacking strategy, and nor, moreover, their set-piece threat, which led to two headed goals from centre-back Craig Dawson.

"I know what I will do", said Wenger. You focus on your job, no matter what people think.

The Gunners lost 2-1 at the Hawthornes against West Brom last season and only edged out the Baggies 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium in the earlier fixture between the two this term.
