Dallas re-signed quarterback Kellen Moore to serve as a backup and provide depth for quarterback Dak Prescott.

The team's other quarterback from last season, Mark Sanchez, is now an unrestricted free agent.

The Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets have all come up as potential destinations for Romo this offseason, but none of the teams seems willing to send the Cowboys a draft pick to acquire Romo.

Moore missed all of last season after breaking his right leg in an August 2 training camp practice.

"Romo is signed through 2019, but with Prescott entrenched as the starter, the 36-year-old's future in Dallas has been a topic of outside speculation throughout the offseason".

China warns U.S. over arms sales to Taiwan
Mr Trump changed tack last month, however, and agreed to honour the policy during a phone call with Mr Xi. MR PENG SHENG-CHU, chief of Taiwan's National Security Bureau.

But now Moore should slide in as Prescott's backup whenever there's a resolution on Romo's next step.

Moore appeared in three games (two starts) in 2015 for an injured Tony Romo and completed 61 of 104 passed for 779 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions. He entered 2016 with momentum from his strong finish, but that changed with the leg injury.

Approximately two weeks into the NFL's free-agency period, Moore agreed to return to the Cowboys for a third season, the organization announced on Monday. Romo's company, Fan Expo LLC, claimed the National Football League threatened players with suspensions if they participated in Las Vegas in 2015.

He spent three seasons with the Lions (2012-2014) but was never elevated to the 53-man roster before signing with Dallas. Terms of the deal were not released.
