Harry Kane scores FOUR as Tottenham hit Leicester for six

19 May 2017, 10:14 | Pamela Mathis

Only 26 players in Premier League history have reached 100 goals. It is the first time I've scored four goals in my professional career.

Kane's four strikes, which included a double-goal flourish in the last minutes of the one-sided contest, catapulted him past Romelu Lukaku, who for a long time has seemed the likeliest to grab the top marksman award.

It was the kind of predatory performance that Pochettino believes further enhances Kane's reputation as one of the world's best finishers.

"I am on 75 in the league and if there is another season like this then hopefully I can get to the 100".

"When we play free-flowing football like that, some of the play around the box in the first half...every man was on their game and it's fantastic to see", said Kane.

Harry Kane is in line to finish as the Premier League's top goal scorer for the second season in a row.

The France worldwide was signed last summer for a whopping £30 million but has failed to establish himself in the Spurs side in 2016-17.

He hopes to hit the ground running next season but said that England's World Cup qualifier in Scotland on June 10, followed by the friendly in France three days later, means he will not have a full summer off again.

"I think there were three games I did not score in (at the start of the season) and then I went on a good run". "I am proud of the fact that even though I've had two injuries this year, out for 11 weeks, I am still up there at the top of the Premier League. It was one-v-one and two-v-two at the back and I fancied my chances". 'I was looking to score a couple of goals, I was looking to take the golden boot into the last game, but now I'm in the driving seat. "I will keep myself fit and mentally have a good break on the beach, just chill".

The 23-year-old would surely have scored more than 40 if he hadn't missed two chunks of this season with ankle injuries, and Pochettino spoke glowing about Kane's appetite for success. There is still one more game.

'I've got to get out there against Hull and try and score more goals'. But there is still one game to go and I'm sure he's determined to score a hat-trick on Sunday.
