Kane's pride at scoring Tottenham's last goal at White Hart Lane

THERE was no time wasting at White Hart Lane yesterday as demolition crews set to work less than 24 hours after Tottenham played their last game there.
The game was followed by a pitch invasion and then a ceremony involving Spurs greats from yesteryear, a rainbow breaking through the clouds with ideal timing as a shower of white tickertape brought the festivities to a close. "It's hard to describe", said Pochettino.
"I think the way we play a different style to West Ham", added Kane. "I am so happy", Pochettino said. I want to say thanks to all my players and staff. I am not too anxious about moving and I don't think the other players are too anxious either.
But with Kane, and everyone at the club, seeing the improvements they have made under manager Mauricio Pochettino, he says there shouldn't be many departures as "there are not many better teams to be at around the world at the moment". I was excited to go out and train every day. Fans ran onto the pitch as Tottenham played their last game before the temporary move to Wembley next season.
Not since 1961 has the league trophy been paraded at White Hart Lane. Talisman Harry Kane, quite fittingly, netted their final White Hart Lane goal early in the second half.
Harry Kane doubled Tottenhams lead in the 48th minute with his 28th goal of the season.
This was also the last game at the White Hart Lane.
"To score the victor, to win the game and finish unbeaten here is something special", Kane told the club's official website. "Obviously we're disappointed after losing out on the title again but we've got to get stronger from it. It is great to achieve second position, we have been unbeaten at home all season so there are a lot of things to be happy about".
The win over United guaranteed Tottenham will finish second in the top flight for the first time since 1963. It was a good cross, I just stuck a foot out.
"This has been a proper send-off to what has been an incredible stadium for us. We are determined that it will be a worthy successor to White Hart Lane and a fitting stage for our current and future great teams".
