Raising Awareness for Mental Health Month
Sporting leaders across the United Kingdom are joining forces as moves to further raise awareness of mental health issues both on and off the field continue to increase industry wide. Activities like compulsive sex, recreational drug use, obsessive internet use, excessive spending, or disordered exercise patterns can all be behaviors that can disrupt someone's mental health and potentially lead them down a path towards crisis. It has been dubbed Mental Health Month, and it is an important time for advocacy on policies regarding mental health, access to services, education, and awareness. There will be six sessions of approximately eight different presentations happening all at one time throughout.
