There shouldn't be comparisons: Deepika on Aishwarya, Sonam at Cannes

During a video call with the Indian audience, Deepika spoke about the perception of Indian cinema to the worldwide audience.
"Susan Sarandon was talking about her son making a film and how he picked up on the dance element we have in Indian films and incorporated it in his film". The 31-year-old actress was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Friday night along with her sister Rhea, who often styles Sonam's look. "I think internationally the perception of Indian cinema is about colour, culture, song, dance, that grandeur and scale". Since there is no Indian film screening there at the festival, Deepika said: "It is unfortunate that this year there is no Indian movie we have to show, but I am sure it will happen and there is no point of being hard on us".
This year Padukone walked the red carpet as L'Oréal's brand ambassador on May 17, 2017, alongside Kapoor and Aishwaria Rai Bacchan. While three Bollywood actresses are walking the red carpet this year, Indian films did not make the cut at Cannes except for a short film. From slaying in her gorgeous Marchesa outfit to stunning everyone in her Brandon Maxwell ensemble, Deepika made quite the statement in her bold and handsome avatar. "You know when we met, yes there is a film star in us, but we were connected as women".
"We decided not to put any pressure on ourselves and just have a good time. It will happen when it has to".
Although Deepika looks absolutely breathtaking at Cannes 2017, her recent interview with Anupama Chopra at the festival brought out the difference between the two actresses. "I am very proud of "Piku" and I would have loved to show it here", she says.
