A group in the USA formed to catch the 14-year-old after she was left hanging by jut her arms and head.

As she flailed, she slipped out from her seat and was left dangling from the ride by her arms, holding on in fear as a group of men gathered beneath her. The girl, from Greenwood, Delaware, reportedly suffered no serious injuries as a result of her fall. She can then be seen falling quickly, first into a tree and then into the assembled crowd.

The unidentified teenager was riding on the "Sky Ride" at Six Flags Amusement Park in Queensbury, New York just after 8 p.m. Saturday.

Winchell and her father visited the girl on Sunday (25 June) and said she was in good spirits.

Authorities said a 47-year-old man was also hospitalized when he hurt his back trying to catch the girl, but has since been released.

Loren Lent, whose wife and daughter were on the ride, said it had no seatbelts, but did have a bar running across it to keep people in.
