According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), speaking at a press conference in Jeddah on Saturday with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, Al Jubeir said he hoped the crisis would be resolved by the Gulf countries themselves, and that Qatar would show the wisdom to respond to the demands of the global community, not just the four Arab countries.
He then held talks with the Qatari foreign minister and the Kuwaiti team before heading back to Washington.
Ties between Doha and other Persian Gulf Arab states suffered an eight-month breach in 2014 over Doha's alleged support for the Muslim Brotherhood.
The contents of the response have not been disclosed, but Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said the list of demands "is unrealistic and is not actionable". "We are looking forward to concrete measures that are going to lead to the de-escalation of the situation, because this crisis isn't going to benefit any of the parties".
The severing of diplomatic ties came amid deepening tension in the region, which surfaced as early as 2014 and has hit breaking point in recent weeks.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt forced a land, ocean and air blockade on Qatar on June 5.
The report highlights the most important questions about the Arab dispute with Qatar, and the coordination and consultative procedures between the ATQ countries on future steps to deal with Doha.
With little chance of Federation Internationale de Football Association acting on the demand any time soon, the move suggests that the alliance, struggling to figure a way forward amid mounting global pressure for a face-saving way out of the six-week-old Gulf crisis, needs to be seen to be acting on its hitherto unfulfilled promise to tighten the screws on Qatar.
Saudi Arabia and its faithful royalist allies are well aware of the fact that they can get away with blockading and browbeating Qatar, notwithstanding the circumstance that the Qataris host 11,000 US military personnel and a huge USA airbase.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Samer Shehata of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, however, said that while France's voice lends more support for Qatar, it does "not have a tremendous amount" of influence in the crisis.
"We can't tolerate such direct and overt support of extremist ideologies", he said, noting that more pressures have to be piled over such nations to change course.
The crisis has presented Tillerson, well known in the Gulf from his former role as chief of energy giant ExxonMobil, with his first big challenge as Washington's top diplomat.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammed said that the actions taken by Saudi Arabia and its allies against Qatar are disrupting the regional effort to combat terrorism. Rival Bahrain houses the US Navy Fifth Fleet. "Qatar is a wealthy ... state that provides for its citizens' every need", Roberts added.
"We need a regional solution and worldwide monitoring", said Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, in prepared remarks he was scheduled to deliver on Monday in London.
"Britain, and now France, are also trying to do much the same".
Cavusoglu also pointed to the lack of objections to the presence in Qatar of the largest American airbase in the Middle East, seen as crucial to the US-led campaign against the Islamic State group.
These benefits include pressure easing on the Pentagon to relocate from Al-Udeid and the United States being able to balance competing power blocs in the region more successfully, added Davidson.
Lonzo Ball drops double-double on Mavs, suffers calf injury
Perhaps the bigger story is the piece of Ball's interview with Hubbarth that followed confirmation of tonight's game sneaker. Back in the 90's Spike Lee and Michael Jordan made a Nike commercial about Jordan's game and what made it so good.
