17 July 2017, 01:38 | Ross Houston
Meizu officially confirms July 26 launch for Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus
The word "window" in the post probably refers to the secondary screen that is present at the rear panel of the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus.
Meizu Pro 7 has been in the news for quite some time now, and after the leaks, the company has started sending invites for the announcement of the Pro 7 on 26th of July. Now after several months of speculation, Meizu has finally sent the invites for the launch event of Meizu Pro 7 to be held on July 26. In fact, the previous rumors had suggested that it is going to be on July 26 that the handset will be out on the market. Alongside, Meizu is also expected to launch a Plus variant with a bigger 5.7-inch sized display which is named as Meizu Pro 7 Plus. Like, MX7, Pro 7 also supports 3D Touch. The higher end PRO 7 variant will be priced at a steep 3,799 yuan ($561). Experts are of the opinion that the secondary screen will enable the users to take a look at the notifications even when the device remains turned off. The highlight of the phone is a secondary at the back that will allow you to take selfies with the rear camera. The successor of the Meizu Pro 6 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X30 processor and is also expected to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen display. Meizu is expected to use two 12MP resolution Sony sensors - IMX386 and IMX286. The Pro 7 will be priced at CNY 2,799 ($409 or €365) for the basic version and CNY 3,299 ($482, €431) if you want more storage.
We expect Meizu to bring in a high-end device in next coming weeks.
