PTI's Naz Baloch joins PPP
17 July 2017, 01:34 | Rodolfo Wallace
Those getting wickets could not save their own wicket
Baloch made the announcement during a press conference in Karachi alongside PPP's Faryal Talpur.
Naz Baloch, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), has joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). "I disagree with the PTI's policies which focus only at Punjab and the centre's politics", she added.
"This is no secret", Baloch insisted, "that I have performed my duties under the leadership of Imran".
In terms of decisions within the party she said, "Male chauvinism is very open, women are not heard nor are in the decision making posts". She requested Imran Khan to listen to the complaints of disgruntled workers so that what was left of the party in Sindh remains intact.
Baloch said that she had rendered countless services for protest sit-in of the party in the past but at the moment she was not in the mood of doing mud-slinging on her parent political party.
She said that owing to lack of attention by the leadership of PTI, the party had lost whatever mandate it had earned in Karachi in the last general elections. "Our leadership did not realise Karachi's importance and the only visit the PTI chairman made to the city was for a few minutes".
"Bilawal Bhutto is truly representing the youth". Her father Abdullah Baloch was a member of the PPP but she instead chose to join the PTI.
Joe Hart set on West Ham loan as Nolito heads for Sevilla
According to the BBC , Hart was told he could find another club by City boss Pep Guardiola and City will fund part of his wages. Pablo Zabaleta, also from City, has been West Ham's only other signing so far in the transfer window.
"We have long association with the PPP. My father was part of PPP".
Ms. Naz Baloch said she considered PTI a symbol of change but with the passage of time the party itself changed for the worst.
"This is the party where my father along with Zulfikar Ali Bhutto worked for the downtrodden". "Everything I have done has been for Pakistan", she told a questioner.
She said that PTI's organisational structure in Karachi and Sindh has been damaged, as it appears that the PTI was playing musical chairs with only four people who have been consistently appointed president of Karachi and Sindh on a rotation basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah welcomed Naz Baloch into the PPP saying that with her inclusion, the party would be further strengthened.
Responding to a question about governor's role in the province, the chief minister said Mohammad Zubair was the representative of the federal government, "but he is not interested in resolving provincial issues".
Regarding the law recently passed by the Sindh Assembly to strike down the National Accountability Ordinance-1999 (NAO) in the province, the CM said that former military ruler Pervez Musharraf had imposed the NAO when a state of emergency was declared in the country. "Women do not have the same access or representation in the decision-making committee", she said.
