US officials and others familiar with the exchanges say they're occurring between the USA envoy for North Korea policy and a senior North Korean diplomat at the country's United Nations mission.
During an appearance at the Netroots Nation conference in Atlanta Friday, Ellison addressed the recent exchange of inflammatory rhetoric between Trump and North Korea, saying North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was acting more responsibly than the US president.
Calling it "the responsibility of all", Macron called on the global community to "act in a concerted, firm and effective manner, as it has just done in the (U.N.) Security Council, to bring North Korea back to the path of dialogue".
