French President Emmanuel Macron urged the worldwide community to refrain from escalating the situation around North Korea, the Elysee Palace said in a communique on Saturday.
French President Emmanuel Macron has called on all sides in the North Korean nuclear crisis to act responsibly "to prevent any escalation of tensions" after a days-long war of words between Washington and Pyongyang.
In the statement, French President Emmanuel Macron "expresses his concern" over the deterioration of the ballistic and nuclear threat from the DPRK, "which undermines the preservation of worldwide peace and security".
"If North Korea (DPRK) does anything in terms of even thinking about attack of anybody that we love or we represent or our allies or us... they should be very nervous", Trump said on Thursday.
Macron also stressed that the worldwide community should keep on working in order to "encourage Pyongyang to return to dialogue without preconditions".
