The madarsa authorities will also have to click photographs of their celebration of the Independence Day and send the same to the madarsa board office. The madrasa students will have to sing patriotic songs and take part in sports events on Independence Day, the celebrations of which must end with the distribution of candies among all. The programmes will conclude with the distribution of candies, says the circular.
However, Maulana Khailid Rashid Firangimahali, a prominent Sunni cleric took affront of the circular asserting that madrasas had always been a part of Independence Day celebrations.

Similar notices were circulated by CBSE to all its school for organization of cultural activities on Independence Day in all its affiliated schools.
