CNN's Brooke Baldwin shuts down Clay Travis after sexist 'boobs' comment

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin was shocked when Fox Sports journalist Clay Travis said he only believed in two things: boobs and the First Amendment. The segment reached peak absurdity when Travis interrupted Reed to ask, "You don't love boobs, too?"

Baldwin looked stunned and eventually cut Travis off. Because it is time to tell the truth about the "boob tube"?

Evidently that was the point Travis was attempting to make during his freaky rant: since ESPN fired Curt Schilling for making anti-trans bathroom comments, it should be consistent and also discipline Hill. "So those are the only two things I believe in absolutely in the country". "Just went on @cnn and said I only believe in two things completely, the first amendment and boobs and the host lost it. Need video now", he tweeted.

After confirming again that Travis did in fact say "boobs" and not "booze", a clearly disturbed Baldwin retorted, "Why would you even say this live on national television and with a female host?"

That's not relevant to the topic, Reed informed Travis, and shortly after that, Baldwin ended the debate.

"I said boobs. I believe completely in the 1st Amendment and boobs", he said, raising his count to five. "Why would you even go there?"

"I say it live on radio all the time".

Travis, a radio and TV commenter for Fox Sports 1, has been a vocal critic of ESPN for what he sees as hypocritical treatment of Jemele Hill, who called Trump a white supremacist on Twitter, compared to that of former baseball analyst Curt Schilling.

He giggles a little at his own joke and tries to keep talking, but Baldwin and Reed's facial expressions show he's not getting away with that ridiculous phrase. He voices his support for Hill and Baldwin as women in their careers.

Travis tweeted after the exchange that he had already been invited back on CNN.

Sanders doubled down at a Friday press briefing, saying, "ESPN has been hypocritical, they should hold anchors to a fair and consistent standard".
