Sam Bradford makes trip to Pittsburgh, but Vikings promote Kyle Sloter

With concern regarding the health of Sam Bradford's injured left knee, the Minnesota Vikings promoted practice squad quarterback Kyle Sloter to the 53-man roster on Saturday, the team announced. While the common belief is that Bradford will still play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, his knee injury still reportedly required an MRI earlier this week.

Bradford's injury is to his left knee, the same knee he twice required surgeries to fix a torn ACL in 2013 and 2014.

When asked about Bradford's MRI on Friday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer did not either confirm or deny that his quarterback was examined by medical personnel at any point in time this week.

Linebacker Anthony Barr (hamstring) and cornerback Xavier Rhodes (hip) also are listed as questionable for Minnesota.

After Cassini what is next for Saturn?
It's hard to imagine a mission working more perfectly than this one, which is probably a big reason it's so hard to say goodbye. Saturn's Rings are one of its most unique structures and distinguishes it from any other planet in the Milky Way.

Mortensen says the results were negative for serious structural damage, but there was enough concern over the joint to limit Bradford's participation in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He threw for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns, completing 84.4 percent of his passes and putting together one of the best performances of his life, but it looks like he might not play on Sunday. "He's a tough guy".

Bradford's backup is Case Keenum, who started nine games for the Los Angeles Rams last season.

As poorly as the Vikings' offensive line played last season, it was a miracle that Bradford was able to start 15 games.

"I don't know, we'll have to see", Zimmer responded, then quickly added "I antcipate he will, yes".
