IT Sequel: One Of The Kids In The Losers Club Will End Up A Drug Addict; Another Will Commit Suicide
If you look beyond the makeup of the 2017 version of Pennywise the clown, you may want an encounter with him after all.
The film, which has set a new box office record for the horror genre after grossing more than $200 million in one weekend, features a child-eating demon which preys upon our greatest fears, and is depicted in the film as a clown. Whether or not director Andy Muschietti has plans of having the kids returnino some capacity is an entirely different story.
All of them provide the heart of the film and the actors across the board are fantastic, with Jack Dylan Grazer stealing the scene every time he pops up on screen. While this thread will be followed in the movie sequel, Andy Muschietti teased some major changes to Chosen Jacobs from the books, who grew up to be a mild-mannered librarian in Derry, gathering all of the knowledge he could about Pennywise. The ragtag group of children that call themselves the Loser's Club, use their friendship to defeat the evil clown that is Pennywise, an entity that takes the face of a clown to become a child's worst nightmare turned reality and lure them in. In the second movie, the turtle left a few clues to their childhood that they don't remember. [I wanted to] infuse more agency to him in those 30 years we don't visit.
Cuomo plans Friday trip to US Virgin Islands
The Democrat visited the Virgin Islands Friday to survey storm damage to better understand how NY can assist in the recovery. Virgin Islands on their path to recovery, because helping neighbors in need is the NY way", Cuomo said.
Terrifyingly played by Bill Skarsgård, Pennywise, The Dancing Clown, takes many forms in his pursuit to feast on the flesh of the children in the fictional town Derry, Maine. Bill and his gang of "losers" come together to try and find out who this mysterious monster is and how to stop him. The only way he can do that is to take drugs and alter his mind.
Gary Dauberman, screen-writer of It, has been hired to write the second film. Though the Muschiettis have put a bit of thought into who they might like to see play adult versions of the kids, both are keeping any potential ideas close to the chest.
It's the end of the school year in 1988 and these kids are ready to start their summer activities but what they don't know besides dealing with their obnoxious bullies is that they have to deal with a horrifying clown hunting them down. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the success of "IT", however it's not a surprising one as not many of King's novels don't get picked up for some form of adaptation.
