Watch: Diamondbacks Relief Pitcher Archie Bradley Hits Two-Run Triple in Seventh Inning

Archie Bradley

Are the host Los Angeles Dodgers going to have their way with the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 1 of the NLDS?

Walker, 25, was 9-9 with a 3.49 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 146 strikeouts in 157 1/3 innings this season.

Despite not being a save situation, the Dodgers went to closer Kenley Jansen in the ninth to put the game away. In the Diamondbacks loss, the pitching staff allowed nine runs and 12 hits, which means Arizona has given up a combined 17 runs and 25 hits in its first two preseason games overall.

When Puig emerged from the Dodgers' clubhouse for a postgame news conference, he was alongside teammate Justin Turner, who homered and drove in five runs in the win.

Ray was 6-0, including two victories over the Dodgers, with a 2.28 ERA after being activated from the disabled list on August 24. Last time he faced them was September 4, when he took a ideal game into the sixth inning and ended with the following line: 7.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 14 K.

Martin O'Neill extends Republic of Ireland contract
A win over Slovakia in Glasgow could move Scotland into the play off place, although a draw might be a better result for Ireland . Shane Long's struggles are a particular concern but I can see a few different players chipping in and helping them out on Friday.

Walker allowed a total of four runs in the inning after surrendering an RBI double to Yasiel Puig, and needed 48 pitches to finish the first frame. "I know certain things you may have seen throughout the course of the year would give you the feeling that it wasn't a great relationship", Lovullo said, "but believe it or not, it's a strong, kind of pushing forward type of relationship". Ray (15-5, 2.89 ERA, 218K) was solid against the Dodgers during the regular season, posting 8 earned runs and 53 Ks in his five starts.

All potential postseason games at Dodger Stadium through the National League Championship Series are sold out. Pitchers will take solo shots any day of the week especially if they have big leads as Kershaw did. But when Greinke failed to get through four innings, Ray was forced into service and pitched 2 1/3 innings, giving up two hits and one run. He is 9-7 with a 2.63 ERA in his postseason career.

Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts certainly enjoyed it, impressed by Turner's ability to slow the game down in high pressure situations. Martinez in the sixth, then back-to-back homers in the seventh by Adam Rosales and Ketel Marte.

The Dodgers were able to add three important insurance runs in the bottom of the fourth as Corey Seager, Turner, and Puig all added RBI singles off Zack Godley.

Turner finished the game with five RBI, tying a Dodgers postseason record shared by Pedro Guerrero and Davey Lopes.
