India will take on Australia in the second Twenty20 worldwide at ACA-Barsapara stadium in Guwahati today.
Now, India and Australia are all set to play the second installment of the T20 game at the newly built Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati at 7:00 PM IST tonight.
Rookie pacer Jason Behrendorff (4/21) ripped through the high-profile Indian batting to restrict the home team to a below par 118 at the Baraspara Stadium, which hosted its first global match.
Australia's 9-wicket loss against India in the first match of the series was barely an ideal debut for the man from New South Wales. The host team will look to seal the series here, after winning the first match of the series at Ranchi. The Indian skipper has scored 1852 runs in his 52 T20I matches in the blue of India over the last seven years, with his highest of 90 not out coming against Australia in the beginning of last year.
The final game will be played in Hyderabad on Friday.
Skipper David Warner along with Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell will be the key batsmen for the visitors to get them off to a flying start.
However, spinners Yuzvendra Chahal (0-29) and Kuldeep Yadav (0-46) failed to make further in-roads as Henriques and Head found the boundary with punctuated regularity.
Behrendorff showed remarkable maturity to bounce back from those two boundaries to trap Rohit plumb in front with an inswinger.
Behrendorff finished with tremendous figures of 4-21 in four overs while Zampa took 2-19 as India struggled to 118 all out in 20 overs. "And obviously Dorff bowling there and taking four for in his first real spell for us was fantastic", Warner said.
Manish Pandey (6) slashed an outside edge to Tim Paine before a stunning catch from the backpedalling stand-in captain David Warner secured Behrendorff's fourth wicket of the match.
Chasing the revised target of 48, India lost opener Rohit Sharma (11) cheaply as he fell prey to Australia pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile's delivery in the second over.
Zampa got Dhoni stumped on a classic leg-spinner and then bowled Jadhav with the googly.
