Trump Implies His IQ Exceeds Tillerson

Trump Implies His IQ Exceeds Tillerson

Despite ongoing hurricane relief, potential military conflicts, a birth control rollback and countless other pressing issues, the biggest media story of last week ended up being whether or not Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called President Donald Trump a moron - spoiler, he did. But President Moron isn't laughing.

"I'm not undermining", the president said.

"The White House has become an adult day care center", Senator Bob Corker declared at the weekend, in an astonishing public rebuke from a Republican who campaigned for Trump and chairs the Senate foreign relations committee. "I'm, like, a really smart person". Tillerson, Corker said, "is in a very frustrating place" where "he ends up not being supported in a way I hope a secretary of state would be supported".

"In a few days from now, a week and a half to be exact, you'll see exactly", Trump told Huckabee.

"By the way, Secretary Tillerson called him an f-ing moron, which, not for nothing, is the highest rank of moron that's achievable", Schmidt said.

"I think it's fake news, but if he did that, I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests", Trump told Forbes magazine in an interview published online Tuesday. "But they think I did a great job". Trump tweeted early Tuesday morning in the US.

Tom Price, Trump's first Health and Human Services secretary, resigned in late September over a private plane scandal, and since becoming President, Trump has dismissed several top communication aides, a chief of staff and a chief strategist. Tillerson famously endorsed the Paris climate accord at a global warming summit in Alaska last May just as Trump was preparing to declare his decision to walk out of the environmental agreement.

But the former ExxonMobil chief executive did not refute an NBC News report that he had called his boss a moron after a July meeting at the Pentagon.

While Forbes noted Trump was talking about how he dealt with football team owners when he bought a New Jersey team in 1984, it's unclear whether that characterization of his business dealings applied to his other clients.
