Above Kindle Oasis Audible
As it knows what page you're on, it will know where to start the audio and vice-versa.
Saarnio said: "I'll end at an ebook page at home, take my Kindle Oasis into the auto, pair it via Bluetooth and then hit play and it picks up the audiobook right where I left off in the ebook".
In profile, this updated Oasis doesn't even look all that different from its predecessor. It isn't quite as elegant, but more importantly, it isn't a Kindle, which means it doesn't have the near-guarantee that you'll always find the book you want in its store. The battery bulges along the back, creating a hand grip, and there are page turn buttons on the front.
Now for the bad news, the original wasn't cheap and neither is this one.
Ergonomically created to rest in your hand "like the spine" of an actual book, the refreshed Amazon KindleOasis is also more robust than all its forerunners, with an aluminum back, nonetheless weighing just 194 grams. It also has a marked advantage when attempting to read image-heavy works, like comics, on the thing (though comics on an e-reader is still a big no-go, as far as I'm concerned).
The improvements don't end there, though. It's also bumped up the number of LED backlights from 10 to 12, which should make for a clearer reading experience, and there's now an ambient light sensor that can adjust the screen brightness to your environment. But is it worth upgrading from last year's Oasis? The terrible battery boosting case has been ditched, yet the onboard battery has been enlarged such that the new device has more life than even the old one including its case. For context, the previous Oasis was rated at a mere two weeks without the battery cover, although adding one extended that out to eight weeks. My favourite feature is the option to left-justify text, which gives text a more book-like appearance.
There are little tweaks to the software, as well, including more font size gradations and the ability to bold any font. The bulky Kindle DX featured a 9.7-inch screen, but that model was too expensive (it started at $489!) and unwieldy for most consumers.
While many other gadget categories have been stamped out by smartphones, ebook readers endure because they speak of focus, rest, and freedom from the world of alerts, multitasking, and intrusion. It only weighs 6.8 ounces and is only 3.4 mm thin at its thinnest point.
There is more to this than meets the eye, though. Amazon said it made it water-resistant because customers like to use Kindles while in the bathtub. Why on earth would you need all that for notoriously small eBooks?

Apple's iPhone X Could Be In Short Supply At Launch
The iPad Pro now features 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch versions, having discontinued the 9.7-inch iteration earlier this year. The 2015 is the year when Apple release a larger model of an iPhone with the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus .
Interesting Xiaomi Mi MiX 2 Features
It features two 13-megapixel sensors - a standard lens with aperture f/1.7, and a wide-angle lens with aperture f/2.4. What's more - the gold accent on the rear camera, fingerprint sensor, and the logo give it an even more stylish edge.
Giants suspend CB Rodgers-Cromartie
Rodgers-Cromartie, a veteran, has been with the Giants since 2014 and is part of a team that is now 0-5, its season all but over. Rodgers-Cromartie has been one of the Giants' key defensive players, missing just two games since he arrived in NY .
