From Jihadi John to White Widow: The Britons killed after joining Islamic State

British ISIS recruiter Sally Jones reported dead in airstrike

Jones - dubbed the "White Widow" - was known to be a recruiter and propagandist for IS.

Both Rankine-Galloway and Corbyn were responding to a report Thursday by The Sun that cited Central Intelligence Agency officials in reporting Jones' death - by a drone strike in June near the Syria-Iraq border. She met Junaid Hussain, a British-Pakistani computer hacker who worked for the terror group, online and married him to become a "jihadi bride".

Referring to reports her son was killed in the strike, he added: "It is a hard one because under the UN Charters he is under the age of what we would classify as a soldier".

What did she do for the group?

Metro reported that in a Twitter post after Hussain's death, Jones claimed she was "proud my husband was killed by the biggest enemy of Allah, may Allah be pleased with him".

The nickname "white widow" is also attributed to Samantha Lewthwaite- the widow of the 2005 London attacker Germaine Lindsay- who has since been linked to a number of terror plots in Africa.

Jones, who went by the name Umm Hussain Britaniyah, had been one of the world's most wanted terrorists and was believed to be on a hit list of 20 extremists targeted by the SAS in Syria. She also encouraged them to carry out attacks in Britain and offered lessons on making home-made bombs.

If reports of Jones' death are true, she would be the sixth Briton killed by drones in Syria.

Sally Jones appears in a selfie before she left for Syria, and in a burqa with a weapon.

According to the Sun, Jones was last seen fleeing from Raqqa, heading for a town on the border with Iraq.

Maj. Gen. Chip Chapman, the former head of counterterrorism at the Ministry of Defense, told Press Association that under the U.N. Charter Jones's son was too young to be classified as a soldier.
