Jeremy Hunt warns Facebook to stay away from his kids

Facebook Messenger Goes Down/Offline Worldwide
To use Messenger Kids, parents can download the app from the App Store and authenticate it with their own Facebook credentials, thereafter contacts can be added via the "Explore" section.
Facebook's existing Community Standards apply to Messenger Kids, the company says, but beyond that, specialised "reviewers [for Messenger Kids] will also look for other signs of potential abuse and take appropriate action, whether it's removing specific messages or entire accounts for repeated abuse". They create accounts for their kids and manage who their children are able to contact - specific approval is required.
JEREMY HUNT today blasted Facebook for launching a new app aimed directly at under-13s despite promising to protect young children.
The app is now available only on Apple App Store and will subsequently be released on Amazon App Store and Google Play Store in the coming months. But parents dictate whom their kids can talk to.
Starbucks is opening a store in China every 15 hours
The Roastery cafe includes three wooden coffee bars and a dedicated bar that offers China's traditional drink, tea. It will also host the Teavana Bar - its first outlet in China specifically offering a range of Chinese teas.
But kids, as kids, are learning at the fastest rates they ever will. This app could put pressure on parents to introduce social media earlier to children who may not have developed the emotional resilience to cope with engaging with others online. They're going to be exposed to these things one way or another, and creating a platform to do that in a way that kids' are more apt to understand is not necessarily a bad thing.
The move opens up a new way for Facebook to compete with Snap's disappearing-photo and chat app, which is popular among younger teenagers. If a child has already become familiar with the Facebook infrastructure and has become hooked, it does seem rather likely that they'll continue into their teen years and beyond. Messenger Kids has parental controls and policies in place to ban inappropriate content and cyberbullying, but that doesn't make the service exempt from Facebook's pattern of moderation failures or the broader evils of the interweb. Facebook said Messenger Kids won't show ads or collect data for marketing, though it will collect some data it says are necessary to run the service. Messenger Kids is interoperable with the main Messenger app, so adults don't actually have to download the Kids app.
"Not sure this is the right direction at all", he tweeted.
Facebook has rolled out a new version of Messenger geared toward children 13 and under.

Willie Taggart agrees to deal with Florida State
It's why it helps that Taggart, a Florida native and former USF head coach, has been around the block in the Sunshine State. The Ducks are putting all their chips on Willie Taggart staying in Eugene as they've tried to lock him up long term.
