OU football: Protective order filed against OU running back Rodney Anderson

Rodney Anderson was named the All Greater Houston offensive player of the year in January 2015 as a member of the Katy High School football team

Charges have not yet been filed against Anderson but he was reportedly ordered to pay the court costs in the protective order filing, and a hearing has been scheduled for December 18th.

A woman filed a victim's protective order against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson on Monday in Cleveland County court.

Per OKC-KWTV Sports Director Dean Blevins, a young woman filed the Victim's Protective Order, though the specific allegation is yet to be released.

Anderson's attorney says the woman's allegations are "patently false".

Oklahoma faces Georgia in a College Football Playoffs semifinal on January 1 at the Rose Bowl.

The petition says Anderson, 21, walked the woman home after meeting her for the first time at a bar and drinking. The woman claims she planned on taking an Uber home but "Rodney's friends insisted that he take me home". She said she initially remembered kissing Anderson and vomiting. This past weekend, I was talking to a friend about the night and started recalling images and feelings of him forcing his fingers into my vagina and feeling sick, him biting me and me not feeling like I could say anything, and trying to get away from him to put clothes on, but he followed me asking what I thought I was doing.

He also ranks second in passing touchdowns (41), third in total offense (357.7 ypg) and fourth in passing yards (333.8 per game). The Oklahoma quarterback was a dark-horse candidate entering the season, and he lived up to the billing and then some.

According to The Oklahoman, the accuser, who wrote in her statement that she is "scared" for her safety because Anderson knows where she lives, is a University of Oklahoma employee.

"Mr. Anderson first learned of (the) request for a civil protective order late yesterday evening", the statement reads.

OU Athletics said they are aware of the situation and gathering information.

Anderson has been one of Oklahoma's breakout stars this year. He is a redshirt sophomore, having missed most of the last two seasons with injuries.

Anderson is Oklahoma's leading rusher this season with 960 yards and 11 touchdowns. Heading into the national semifinals against Georgia on January 1, it appears Oklahoma has another bad situation on its hands.

Anderson, who struggled with injuries the last two years, inherited the starting RB role from Joe Mixon, who was drafted to play in the National Football League despite an ugly incident on his record in which he punched a woman in the face.
