Apple Watch gets watchOS 4.2 update with Pay Cash support and more
Apple Pay Cash is now live for U.S. users, allowing iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad owners to transfer money to virtual Pay Cash cards. The improvements were not rolled out to everyone at first on Monday, causing some confusion, but Apple announced yesterday the features were officially launched for all users in the United States. That cash can be used for purchases or it can be transferred to a bank account.
When users get paid, the money they receive is added to their new Apple Pay Cash card that lives in the Wallet app. The upgrade as usual by Apple has involved lots of changes, especially the support given to Apple Pay Cash, a quick peer-to-peer payments system that forms a direct competitor to Venmo, Square Cash and other payment processors.
Alternatively, you can also use the Settings app to enable Apple Pay Cash.
Each payment, though, will prompt you to confirm it with a passcode, your face, or fingerprint. From there, Apple Pay Cash will take a few seconds to activate.
Texas officer shot to death while serving warrant
He worked just about every day off to provide for his kids and because he knows that we're short-handed and need the help. At a news conference, Police Chief Chase Stapp said Copeland had been with the department for 19 years.
Since the launch of Apple Pay in the United States, the payment service has been expanded to Canada, France, Russia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Spain, Ireland, and Taiwan. If you're on iOS 11.2 and are living in a region where the service is available, you should see an Apple Pay Cash toggle.
iOS 11.2 is available now as a free update and is required to make person to person payments and use Apple Pay Cash on iPhone and iPad.
When it comes to sending and receiving money on iMessage, the minimum amount is $1 per message, while the maximum is $3,000. You can not add more than $3,000 per day. Apple also assures that Apple Pay Cash doesn't affect a person's credit and won't be impacted by any credit freezes.
