Man Charged in 2010 Murder of Former Grizzlies Center Lorenzen Wright

The seven-year investigation into his death has been one of the Memphis Police Department's most high-profile unsolved cases. When the killing happened in 2010, Wright's body was found days after his death and his body was so decomposed it was unable to be determined how many times the man was shot, however, multiple casings were found from different caliber weapons.

Wright was last seen alive on July 18, 2010 as he left his ex-wife's house.

The arrest comes one month after police announced they had found the murder weapon in a MS lake, about 50 miles from where Wright's body was found on July 28, 2010.

On Dec. 5, Billy Turner, 46, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Wright's case.

A few days after that, Wright's mother filed a missing-persons report. Two days later, he was found in a field near a golf course.
