Overwatch Winter Wonderland Goes on a 5v1 Yeti Hunt
08 December 2017, 01:11 | Megan Pierce
Overwatch's festively themed Winter Wonderland event will return next week, Tuesday December 12th, Blizzard has announced.
In a developer update video, Overwatch daddy and game director Jeff Kaplan confirmed several exciting aspects of Winter Wonderland 2017. This will include new Legendary skins for Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog, and the skins previously released for last year's event. The idea will be that five Meis will band together to chase after a unsafe yeti-skinned Winston, who is controlled by a single player.
76ers Finally Trade Jahlil Okafor
McConnell, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, and Jerryd Bayless were the main options 76ers' head coach Brett Brown chose to go with. The trade comes in after Okafor requested to be bought out from the 76ers but the team denied that request.
NC county's servers held for ransom by hackers
The county also could try to restore the servers itself, though Diorio said that could take a long time and come at a larger cost. Mecklenburg, with Charlotte as the county seat, serves more than 1 million people as the state's most populous county.
Aside from cosmetics, Mei's Snowball Offensive will also return from previous year, which pits two teams of Meis against each other in a snowball fight-style conflict. The familiar 6v6 "Mei's Snowball Offensive" will return (also playable on the Black Forest map), but it will be joined by the brand-new "Mei's Yeti Hunt". The mode is a "boss fight", according to Kaplan, but the Winston is also player-controlled. Winston has to collect powerups around the map that award him primal rage and pick off the Mei's that are mercilessly hunting him down. Mei has a new ability that's specific to this mode, Ice Trap, and she can use it along with her usual Ice Wall to fend off the yeti. If he fully charges it up, the Meis will need to do whatever they can to escape. When the game begins, the Meis must attempt to hunt down and eliminate Winston, while he does he best to avoid detection and snaffle up as many meat power-ups as he can.
