Trump slurs his words in a public speech, sparking health concerns

Donald Trump

Near the end of his speech on Wednesday the president started breathing heavily and when he concluded with "God bless the United States" the word "States" sounded like "Shtates".

Donald Trump closed a speech Wednesday (Dec. 6) on moving the USA embassy in Israel to Jerusalem with a familiar phrase, "and God bless the United States".

"We believe his lawyers had a legitimate reason and basis for not answering those questions", White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said.

Asked last week whether Trump would get an annual physical and report his health information to the public, as his predecessors have, Sanders said she did not know.

"His throat was dry".

Terming the speech "disturbing", Noah said, "As disturbing as it was today to watch Donald Trump add fuel to the Middle East conflict, it was even more disturbing to watch the conflict between Donald Trump's teeth and his tongue".

Naturally, late night comedy show hosts had a field with Trump's apparent flubbing of several words during the speech. "You could call it slurring or just a little bit of difficulty forming the words".

"Because he's vain as hell", Noah said. After all, the president and his team must have crafted the speech and made the decision about Jerusalem knowing that they would be heavily criticized for it.

"I really think that he is wearing a denture and that denture is either ill fitting or it is slipping out of his mouth and that is causing his slurred speech", Dr. Nancy Rosen, a dentist in New York City, told Inside Edition. "We're live when Trump addresses a joint session of Congress for the "Shtshh" of the Union".

Perhaps Pres. Trump has taken to wearing dentures because his original teeth are broken or missing, although this still leaves unanswered the question of why Trump wouldn't simply opt for implants. "I'm just saying, 'Can you imagine?'"
