Egypt Quietly Begins to Accept Jerusalem as Capital of Israel

Pence will leave on January 19 for Egypt, where he will hold talks the next day with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. While in Israel, Pence also plans to visit the Western Wall and the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial.
He will start his visit in Egypt, where he will stay for two days, before travelling to Jordan for one day and then end it in Israel.
When making his announcement, Trump added the caveat that Jerusalem's status would be determined in negotiations between the Palestinians and Israel.
