As Pitchfork reports, Lana Del Rey addressed the crowd at her show in Denver, Colorado, where she explained the situation, and noted that the lawsuit could result in the removal of the track from physical copies of the album. To win a copyright infringement suit, the band's lawyers would have to persuade a jury that Del Rey's song is "substantially similar" to "Creep", both qualitatively and quantitatively.

A spokesperson for Warner/Chappell has now contradicted Del Rey's statements, claiming that while their lawyers had been in contact with Del Rey's team over the track, no legal action had yet been taken. "To set the record straight, no lawsuit has been issued and Radiohead have not said they 'will only accept 100%' of the publishing of 'Get Free". Although I know my song wasn't inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing - I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100.

Radiohead has never been shy about saying how sick they are of their hit song "Creep", even going out of their way for years to not play it live.

"Get Free" appeared on Del Rey's latest album, Lust for Life, which hit No.1 in the U.S. and the United Kingdom past year.

The Hollies own the legal battle and Radiohead were ordered to hand over a percentage of royalties and credit the writers.

It has to be said, there are similarities between the two songs.

She told fans that "regardless of what happens in court", she stood by the song's message of rejecting negativity and embracing a more positive mindset.
