Station House Officer Bandipora Gazanafar Ahmad while confirming the arrests said, "We have booked the teams under Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities Act with FIR number 4/2018".

Police in India have detained four local cricketers for wearing the jerseys of the Pakistani cricket team and for standing in honor of the Pakistani national anthem ahead of a match in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident came to light after a 1-minute 46-second video surfaced on Facebook. In the video, players have also bowed their heads while singing Pakistan's national anthem. "The teams have been booked", said senior superintendent of police Bandipora, Sheikh Zulfikar Azad.

In another incident, video of two young Kashmiri artistes performing Pakistan's national anthem on traditional instruments of Rabab and Santoor also went viral on social media.
