Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet with EU's foreign ministers on January 22 in Brussels, during which he is expected to ask them to recognize the Palestinian state on the territories occupied by Israel in 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The video also cited Hamas's crackdown on militant groups in the Gaza Strip as reason to attack it.

"Their struggle changed from jihad to dismiss the Zionists in the land of Muslims to a struggle for the control of Gaza", the Arabic-speaking narrator says in the video that surfaced Wednesday on the social media site Telegram.

"In the video, the man accused of collaborating with Hamas" military wing is executed'.

Hamas in the past has publicly announced it was receiving weapons and money from Tehran. ISIS fighters began an exodus from Syria and Iraq to the Sinai.

In the past, Trump has expressed support for the Taylor Force Act, a bill that would see US aid to the PA slashed if it continued its "pay-for-slay" policy of rewarding terrorists and their families with stipends for the murder of Israelis.

The Israeli military said Thursday it would reopen the investigation into the death of a wheelchair-bound Palestinian who was killed in clashes over U.S. President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

So why is ISIS going to war against Hamas?

Samira Hamadeh, a mother of three who lives in Gaza City, said that it marked a "big improvement" but that residents need more.

"They attempt to besiege the jihadists on the land of Sinai through direct security cooperation with [the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah] el-Sissi's intelligence forces", al-Maqdisi added.

Now, the decision to reverse course is related to ongoing reconciliation talks between the two factions, as well as in response to demonstrations in Gaza in recent days over the lack of power. "It also fights supporters of the Islamic State in Gaza and the Sinai and prevents the migration of these supporters from Gaza to the Sinai".
