THIS is why the Spice Girls are reuniting, says Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham was reportedly the last Spice Girl to sign on but now they are all on board and the tour is in the "rough planning" stage.
The "I Want It That Way" hitmakers would love to release a song with the girl group - which includes Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton - after they set plans in motion for a reunion.
The details leaked to the public are all very minimal right now, but TMZ reports that the plan is for the '90s group to tour both the United Kingdom.
Spice Girls Reunion Screw Wannabe Merch ... We'll Be There w/ OG Stuff 'Til 2023!
The Spice Girls have a major advantage leading up to their forthcoming reunion tour - they can still hawk A LOT of gear bearing their name. some of it old, but still new. And because Geri had actually quit the group before their Girl Power '98 Tour made it Stateside, this will be the first time all five Girls are together for US concerts. They'll once again be managed by Simon Fuller (who managed them back in the day and also created American Idol) for this tour.
The reunion has happened, now apparently the reunion tour is happening, and life for any 90s child is about to get really good. "We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up and reminiscing about the fantastic times we have spent together", so the girls said in a statement regarding their meeting. In the recent words of Baby Spice - the "future is looking spicy" indeed!
It's been a while since the Spice Girls hit the stage together, last performing at London's Olympics closing ceremony in 2012. "The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together", the statement, posted to Facebook, read.
