The report says that the beta testers will first get the update followed by existing owners now on Nougat. As spotted by SamMobile, the Android 8.0 Oreo update is finally rolling out to the Galaxy S8, with people in Germany already installing the fresh software.
It goes without saying that the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge will eventually receive an official update to Oreo. After all, the beta testers too deserve some appreciation.
It's likely that once the update arrives on your phone, it'll pop up in an update screen where you'll be prompted to plug the phone in and then install the update. For now, all you can do is wait it out and keep checking your phone's Settings for an update. When exactly will your region get it is unknown but the important thing is that the S8 is getting Oreo after what seemed like an eternity since it was released by Google.

However, according to SamMobile, everyone else now running Android 7.x Nougat will start receiving the update starting tomorrow (at least in the German market).
