Congress Member of Parliament, Renuka Chowdary has said that she'll keep laughing at Modi because there's no GST imposed for laughing.
She had yesterday threatened to file a privilege motion against Rijiju who said he was only referring to how he (Modi) was not annoyed despite a "vexatious" laugh. Earlier in the day, Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 12 noon after the Congress members created an uproar.
It said, "We condemn PM Modi's derogatory remark in the Parliament against former Union Minister and RS MP Renuka Chowdhury".
Immediately, Rajya Sabha speaker Venkaiah Naidu intervened and asked MP Renuka Chowdhury to consult a doctor if she is suffering from throat infection.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took a dig at Chowdhury over her loud laughter at his claim that the idea of Aadhaar was conceptualised during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. Ofcourse they are entitled to defend PM but this comment was against a woman.
