Turkish presidential aide US advisor meet in Istanbul

A USA military airstrike has killed over 100 Pro-regime soldiers fighting for the Assad government, against anti-Assad rebels.

That same month, an Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle downed a Syrian drone that had attacked usa forces embedded with allied fighters and the us launched airstrikes against Iranian-backed fighters in southern Syria.

Some 500 fighters had tried take ground captured from the Islamic State (IS) group by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The comments come after the USA clashed with forces allied to the Bashar al-Assad regime overnight Wednesday in eastern Syria.

"The incident once again demonstrated that the true aim of continued illegal deployment of USA forces on the Syrian territory is no longer fighting the IS global terrorist group, but seizure and retention of economic assets which belong to Syria", it said. "[Pro-regime forces] were likely seeking to seize oilfields in Khusham that had been a major source of revenue for Daesh from 2014 to 2017".

"We are not looking for a conflict with the regime", she added. However, there were no casualties that have been reported from the U.S. military. Russia's foreign ministry said the USA was attempting to secure Syrian resources.

Those pro-regime vehicles and personnel who retreated were not targeted by coalition air and artillery strikes, he said.

Officials with the United Nations humanitarian team in the country said: "In this extreme situation, an immediate cessation of hostilities lasting for at least one month throughout Syria to enable the delivery of humanitarian aid and services, evacuation of the critically sick and wounded, and alleviation of people's suffering, to the extent possible, wherever they are".

The U.S. -led coalition responded with "AC-130 gunships, F-15s, F-22s, Army Apache helicopter gunships and Marine Corps artillery", according to Fox News reporter Lucas Tomlinson.

"While I am grateful that no US or coalition members were harmed in the attack, I am gravely concerned that the Trump administration is purposefully stumbling into a broader conflict, without a vote of Congress or clear objectives", Kaine said.

The attack took place in the Middle Euphrates River Valley eight kilometers east of a negotiated "de-confliction line" meant to separate Russian-allied regime forces and USA -allied resistance fighters, according to Central Command.

The Syrian Democratic Forces have been a crucial American ally in the fight against ISIS.

It was not immediately known if any of the Syrian pro-regime forces were killed or injured in the coalition's retaliatory strikes or what was the makeup of the forces.

In June previous year, a U.S. Navy jet shot down a Syrian plane after it attacked U.S. -backed fighters on the ground.

In May, coalition aircraft strike a pro-regime convoy as it approaches a training garrison near the Al-Tanf border crossing to Jordan.
