Users of Amazon's popular artificial intelligence-powered personal assistant Alexa have been reporting instances of the voice assistant laughing without being prompted, leading Amazon to search for a fix for the issue.
Amazon has since acknowledged the issue amid a stream of social media users bringing attention to it.
People responded with similar accounts including one who said: "It started laughing like she was being tickled". "We're aware of this and working to fix it", a rep for the company said in an email.
Its voice assistant Alexa is activated on Echo smart speakers through voice commands.
