Richard Sherman: Chance to Face Seahawks Behind 49ers Switch

The 49ers were not going to dump a bunch of guaranteed money Sherman's way at this early stage of the game.
A lot of players may lack the knowledge necessary to act as their own agents, but at a potential savings of millions of dollars when it comes time to negotiate contracts with teams, they may now find it worthwhile to learn.
Sherman, who turns 30 on March 30, is a four-time Pro Bowl player and a three-time selection as a first-team All-Pro.
Sherman went on to say that he did not mean it as anything disrespectful and the whole situation was kind of forced on him.
When that was relayed to Sherman, he paused for a second.
That's what it sounded like. In my former contract, no matter what I did this year, nothing would be guaranteed to me next year. I asked him to repeat that.
He added, "I love the fan base to death, and I loved playing there". "It was such a great opportunity". I helped the organisation get to a great place and stay there.
A Wrinkle In Time With Jennifer Lee
Characters zip from one planet to the next with little connective tissue, and we must accept each narrative jolt at face value. Even when working with a major studio and a major property, she has made a movie that's completely her own, flaws and all.
Sherman played his college ball in the Bay Area at Stanford under former coach Jim Harbaugh, who then went up against Sherman during his four seasons in charge of the 49ers.
Sherman had told the Seahawks that he would be transparent with them, so he let them know what had been worked out. "I didn't abandon anybody". He would have had the chance to receive more offers and probably would have been able to reduce the per-game bonus aspect of the contract while increasing the two-year compensation. Although Sherman will be getting a $3 million signing bonus, he'll have to earn pretty much every penny after that.
That seems likely, assuming Sherman has been correct in saying he thinks he'll be fully healed by the summer. Now, the four-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro, who spent his entire National Football League career with the Seattle Seahawks, is the team's most accomplished veteran.
Last season, the 49ers' pass defence ranked 24th in the league in yards allowed per attempt with 7.2, 22nd in yards allowed per game with 235 and 24th in passer rating allowed with 93.9. In exchange, they have a player under contract well below what the market would have dictated in free agency next season. He had been due to make a simple $11 million base salary for the Seahawks in 2018.
You can count Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas among the people who thought that Sherman negotiated a disgusting deal for himself.
While it's unknown exactly the paycut Seattle wanted Sherman to take, it's surely less than $10 million for the 2018 season.
Richard Sherman doesn't think it will take him too long to get comfortable with the 49ers.
Light snow possible Monday
The heaviest snow should wind down early Tuesday evening, but the Tuesday evening commute may be significantly impacted. Temperatures will then drop after the sun sets, inviting a chance for sleet and snow flurries after 3 a.m.
