Taylor Swift is finally free in her music video for 'Delicate' – watch

Though the Swift video features more of a plot and several different locations, most of the observations are comparing Swift's jerky and disjointed dance moves to those performed by Qualley in the Kenzo ad.

Thus far, Taylor Swift's Reputation era has given us cinematic visuals packed with fierce attitude, robots, celebrity friends, and booze-fueled parties.

She escapes to her dressing room, where the songstress makes amusing faces at herself in the mirror. Suddenly, though, she realizes nobody can see her, and so, she dances like nobody's watching, all the way to the top of a car's hood during a massive rainstorm. The pop superstar dances her way through the hotel and the rainy streets of the city before ending up at a dive bar. "You can stop sending me fan concepts lol, video was shot weeks ago". After entering her hotel, she discovers a note that allows her to become invisible and gives her freedom to go unnoticed in crowded places, while also being herself.

Some of the hidden references include the words "It's Delicate", and "Reputation", spray painted on garage doors down a dark alleyway, "Track 5", also written in graffiti on a subway station, and an abundance of lyrics from the song going hand in hand with the video perfectly.

While the video is carefree and quirky on the surface, it seems to have some deeper subtext as well.

Speaking over a pre-recorded message delivered at the iHeartRadio Awards, Swift said: "Hey, guys, I just wanted to say thank you so much for this award..." Swift's a singer and guitarist by trade, but through her dancing and facial expressions, she's learned to tell stories with her whole body.

In what feels like a milestone, this is the first music video where Taylor Swift doesn't lip sync.

The music video drop was the most fans have seen lately from the singer who has been busy prepping for her Reputation world tour. Ready For It? and End Game. Last year, he deflected accusations that his Look What You Made Me Do clip copied Beyoncé's Formation look.

Fans were quick to react.
