US diplomat doesn't have'absolute immunity
According to details, a special aircraft arrived at the Nur Khan Airbase here to take the American diplomat home.
The issue has further strained the ties between Pakistan and the USA which are already at odds over the issue of providing safe havens to the Taliban and the Haqqani network terror groups in Afghanistan. On Friday, the Islamabad High Court said that Hall did not have absolute immunity in the country.
Local media showed footage of a USA plane at Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi near Islamabad that reportedly arrived earlier today to fly back defence and air attache Colonel Joseph Emanuel Hall.
Officials in Islamabad have demanded that the U.S. waive Hall's diplomatic immunity in order to face trial but so far America has refused.
The US Air Force C-130 flew into Islamabad at 11.15am local time from Bagram airbase in Afghanistan.
The source further added that the FIA officer on duty after finding out that it was Col Hall, held back his passport and sought directions from his high-ups, according to a source. The aircraft eventually returned to Bagram.
The move came a day after Pakistan said it would restrict the movements of all American diplomats in the country in response to Washington's similar restrictions on Pakistani embassy diplomats.
Dustin Johnson Tied For Leader At The Players
The other super group of Rory McIlroy , Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth did not play much better than Tiger & Co on Thursday. Johnson became No. 1 in the world when he won the Genesis Open past year and has stayed atop the world rankings since.
According to the United States decision, Pakistani diplomats, at the embassy in Washington and four consulates in New York, Los Angeles, Texas and Chicago, will need to stay within 40 km of the city of their posting.
Both said they would analyze the conditions on a case-by-case basis.
US-Pakistan relations have worsened since January, when the Trump administration announced it had suspended almost all of the $1.3 billion in annual security aid given to Pakistan.
This came right after it placed Islamabad on a "Special Watch List" for failing to safeguard religious minorities.
Incidentally, in a first, India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) named Pakistani diplomats in their 'wanted' list last month.
Analysts say US' stricter stance towards Pakistan might push it closer to China and Russian Federation, its adversaries.
Importantly, it might change dynamics in the South Asian region, even as India emerges as a major power.
