A man and a seven-year-old boy have been critically injured following a plane crash in Co Offaly.
Update 22.24pm: Gardaí have confirmed that a man and a seven-year-old boy have died following a plane crash in County Offaly.
The aircraft initlaly took off with 16 parachutists on board at around 2.30pm, from Clonbullogue Airfield, Gardai said.
The pilot, believed to be from the United Kingdom, and a seven-year-old local boy were onboard when the plane went down in bog land in County Offaly on Sunday afternoon. The pilot is believed to be a United Kingdom national.
It was found about 2km from the airfield in bogland after a search by emergency services.
