R. Kelly, an American singer, has been sued by Faith Rodgers, a 20-year-old woman who claims he infected her with herpes, an incurable sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Faith Rodgers said she first met Kelly, 51, at a concert in San Antonio, Texas, a year ago when she was 19, in an interview with "CBS This Morning" on Tuesday.

Kelly, who has faced multiple accusations of holding women hostage and grooming them for sex, spent two months calling, texting and FaceTiming with Rodgers before flying her to NY and putting her up in a hotel to see his concert.

Despite that, they still ended up being intimate even if she did not want to and Kelly even recorded it on his iPad without consent!

She gave an interview to CBS in which she said that she had had a relationship with the star for a year, detailing one particular incident where she "submitted" to sex after his pressurised demands.

Rodgers alleged that she was in a relationship with Kelly for less than a year, during when he routinely abused her mentally, sexually and verbally.

To make matters worse, she claims a female assistant stood guard to make sure she didn't escape! I don't talk about nothing to nobody on the phone. "I don't care what the situation is", he reportedly replied.

The allegations are the latest in a series of accusations of sexual misconduct against Kelly, who recently became the subject of an online movement to #MuteRKelly.

Kelly is no stranger to allegations of this nature.

A woman has filed a lawsuit in NY against R. Kelly, claiming the singer sexually assaulted her, locked her in rooms for punishment and infected her with herpes.

"He goes on to tell me that he raises five women".

"He described these women as his family", Faith told the host. "I love you because you remind me of them'". In 2008, he was acquitted on child pornography charges. He has been accused in the past of running an "abusive sex cult" and of imprisoning women in his homes. She was 19 at the time and claims he "furnished alcoholic beverages" before getting her phone number.

Rodgers said that when she met Kelly, now 51, he had promised to help her start a career in entertainment.

Rodgers hopes to help other women who didn't walk away, she said.

Representatives for Kelly declined comment on this story.
