Why do LeBron & Other NBA Players Hate Steph Curry?

What first seemed like a awful sight was actually more lighthearted and somewhat comical as the kid was actually emotional because his family was hating on Stephen Curry for being so damn good at playing basketball.

When approached after the Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 122-103 in Game 2 to take a 2-0 series lead, Iguodala told ESPN, "I aim to play in Game 3, but I've aimed to play in Game 2 and Game 3".

"He was tremendous", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

The greatest 3-point shooter in NBA history put on a show in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Whether it was Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, or even JaVale McGee, Golden State was feeling it Sunday night and there wasn't much the Cavs could do. LeBron James had 29 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds.

Since losing their first game of the 2018 playoffs at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, the Cavaliers have won eight games in a row on their home court.

Kevin Love had 22 points and 10 boards for the cold-shooting Cavs, who will now try to gain some momentum back home. His biggest bucket came with 7:54 left, when he drilled an off-balance shot from several feet behind the 3-point line despite being closely guarded by Love.

If the quantity of Curry's three-pointers weakened Cleveland, the sheer quality of those shots broke the Cavs' resistance as the two-time National Basketball Association champion appeared to be scoring at will, no matter who Cleveland chose to pair him with.

"Every shot that he takes that goes in, he has the business of making them", James said. "Once he releases it, (if) he sees the basket, he usually makes it".

James immediately began arguing for a foul, Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue was assessed a technical foul for arguing the call and the Warriors outscored the Cavs 9-7 the rest of the quarter to carry a 90-80 lead into the fourth. After the differing disasters for them in the first two games, Game 3 may just be the start of these finals.

"Listen, Golden State is one of the best teams I've ever played". Dirk Nowitzki and Co. spoiled Miami's party in its inaugural season with the trio together in a tough six-game series. Without Iguodala available, it was Livingston who finished the overtime period with the four All-Stars in Game 1.

If the Cavaliers hope to compete in these Finals, they need LeBron James to be at his absolute best, but he was not in game two.

Smith infamously botched what could have been the clincher for the Cavaliers when he dribbled out the clock in the final seconds of game one instead of taking the winning shot, unaware the score was tied.

Curry is averaging 31 points, 8.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds per game through two Finals contests. This - and Curry's hesitation moves into the paint, which defenders have to honor to avoid him getting off 3-point attempts - is how Golden State makes teams pay for perimeter switches.

After all, it is hard for the Warriors to maintain that necessary "appropriate fear" when - deep down - they don't question if they're the better team.

How could three of the NBA's best players, all of whom were in the top-nine in scoring a season prior, play for the same team in a league with salary cap restrictions meant to prevent compiling these sorts of powerhouse teams?
