With the announcement of iOS 12, Apple focused on the performance features of the mobile operating system, noting it would increase the speed of older devices, dating back to the iPhone 5S. To clarify, even if you download Mojave later this year, you will still get warnings.

Apple is debuting Group FaceTime with iOS 12 and the feature is also a part of macOS Mojave. Using the app, one can quickly and easily record personal notes, meetings, and more.

Apple says that macOS Mojave will be rolled out to all Mac users in the fall months, and will be available for all Macs introduced in mid-2012 or later, as well as the Mac Pro 2010 and 2012 variants. It's now 64-bit and built with AppKit, and has Touch Bar control and a brand new icon. The new macOS brings enhanced security feature on Safari Browser which will block tracking websites like Facebook and other websites, these websites use to track users data and those data were sold for researching objective.

macOS Mojave has picked up an iOS-like screenshot feature in which a thumbnail of each shot appears before it is saved to the desktop. Instead, Apple will leverage the fact that the two operating systems share a lot of things in common already, from the kernel at the lowest level up to the graphics and audio frameworks.

So what's new in macOS Mojave? It's now returned to the System Preferences app. What's new, however, is that Mojave will support something that Apple calls "Dynamic Desktops", meaning that your wallpaper image will change throughout the day based on time and lighting conditions.

Perhaps one of the updates, that will be most welcome, is an all-new Dark Mode which instantly transforms the menus and applications with a darkened colour scheme making it easier to view content and files on the screen. Quick Look has been updated as well with a similar Quick Actions set up to edit files without ever opening them. Apple now explicitly says apps can not host anything that looks like an app store within an app or give users the ability to "browse, select, or purchase software not already owned or licensed by the user".

Additionally, Mojave features a number of iOS connections including desktop versions of News, Stocks, Voice Memos, and Home. The new Mac App Store includes editorials about the latest app updates. You can also quickly view metadata of any file in a tab on the right-hand side of the Finder window.

The first iOS apps to be available for macOS will come from Apple later this year.

Voice Memos coming to Mac.

The Mac App Store has undergone a thorough redesign as well.
