The White House earlier announced that the first meeting will begin at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island at 9 a.m. next Tuesday.

The US State Department said that a "maximum pressure campaign" will continue against North Korea although US President Donald Trump said last week he did not like the term.

Asked about the contents of Kim's letter, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders declined to "get into the specifics of the letter" but added "we feel like things are continuing to move forward and good progress has been made".

US President Donald Trump in Washington on May 17 and North Korea leader Kim Jong Un in Panmunjom, South Korea, on April 27.

Trump and Kim will reportedly meet at a luxury resort on Sentosa Island, where Trump hopes to secure a nuclear deal with the North Koreans, seeking for Kim to give up his nuclear program, according to reports.

Following a back-and-forth between the U.S. and North Korea, Trump on Friday announced that the summit was back on.

The minister, who will be accompanied by foreign ministry officials, will also meet the North's ceremonial president Kim Yong Nam, the statement said.

It's hard to think of many midfielders who are less suited to Klopp's all action, high pressing style. And Seluk wasn't finished there as he then targeted Guardiola personally.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Newsweek on Wednesday.

After Mr. Trump canceled the meeting, Mr. Giuliani said: "Well, Kim Jong Un got back on his hands and knees and begged for it, which is exactly the position you want to put him in".

"I can tell you the president has been receiving daily briefings on North Korea from his national security team", said Sanders.

NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman is once again connected to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

"We thank our great Singaporean hosts for their hospitality", she said.

"I think it's probably going to be a very successful process", he said. "I think that has resonated to this whole point now".

Singapore suspended trade relations with the reclusive Northeast Asian state a year ago following tightened United Nations sanctions over its weapons programme, however, North Korea still operates a small embassy in the city.
