Arjun Tendulkar is an ardent fan of Mitchell Starc and Ben Stokes
Arjun was part of a group of 25 U-19 cricketers who were reportedly selected to attend a camp as part of Zonal Cricket Academy in Dharamsala in the lead up to the Sri Lanka tour.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) senior official Rajiv Shukla also congratulated Arjun Tendulkar. The four-day squad will be captained by 18-year-old Delhi wicketkeeper-batsman Anuj Rawat, who had scored two half-centuries, including one on debut, in as many matches for Delhi during the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. There were many who defended Arjun's selection as he had registered impressive bowling figures over the past season, getting 18 wickets in nine games.
Arjun has also represented Mumbai in U-19 cricket, having collected a five-wicket haul against Madhya Pradesh in a Cooch Behar Trophy match in November previous year.
"A lot of people don't know U-19 zonals are happening at Una and Arjun has done well there".
While batting legend Tendulkar expressed his delight at Arjun's selection, calling it an "important milestone in his cricketing life", a few cricket fans were up in arms, claiming nepotism. One Twitetr user Ganeshan Iyer wrote, "Arjun Tendulkar is an average bowler".
Eagles Uninvited to the White House
The acrimony continued on Tuesday, when the White House said "the vast majority of the Eagles team chose to abandon their fans". News of the cancelled event sent off a firestorm through Twitter , with everyone reacting to President Trump's decision.
Arjun has trained under former India fast bowler Subroto Banerjee, a close friend of Tendulkar. "Anjali (Tendulkar) and I will always support Arjun in his choices and pray for his success", Tendulkar told news agency ANI. Arjun also bowled in the India nets during the home series against New Zealand past year. "The selectors have given him a chance looking at his potential".
Arjun, though, couldn't break into the one-day squad for the Sri Lanka tour, which will be led by Aryan Juyal.
"Juyal is very young and has not graduated to first class level". With the Indian "A" team scheduled to tour England during the same period, WV Raman will take over the coaching duties from Under-19 World Cup winning coach Rahul Dravid. "So it's better he gets some match practice", the source said.
Mexico imposes tariffs on $3 billion worth of US exports
It's unclear whether Trump was joking or falsely believed Canada was responsible for burning down the official home of the U.S. Kudlow said President Donald Trump's focus at the meetings will be on trade and mutual security among members of the G7.
Amazon Premier League rights
It means that BT will, for the first time, be able to screen show multiple midweek Premier League matches on the same evening. Though Amazon may have gotten a discount , its Premier League price tag would still likely hit nine figures in US dollars.
Paul Ryan contradicts Trump's claim that FBI planted a 'spy'
The statement specifically notes certain questions raised by Speaker Ryan, but does not disclose what these questions were. The FBI was looking into Russian interference in the U.S. election and that line of inquiry led them to Trump, he said.
