In a moment he described as the worst of his career, Egypt global Salah was withdrawn early in Liverpool's eventual 3-1 defeat in Kiev following an awkward tangle with Ramos. "I think we are quite the same - it is 50-50 - England have a lot of good players, we also have good players so we will see".

On the messages exchanged between the pair, Mo Salah simply said: "He sent me a message, but I never told him it was okay".

Salah went on to confirm he is hoping to be fit to play in Egypt's first World Cup game against Uruguay next Friday, as he looked forward to the finals in Russian Federation.

The Liverpool superstar left the field in tears as his Champions League dream was crushed, simultaneously leaving his World Cup hopes hanging by a thread.

Val Kilmer Returns as Iceman for TOP GUN: MAVERICK
The highly anticipated followup to the 1986 blockbuster is scheduled to be released July 12, 2019. The film also starred Kelly McGillis, Tom Skerritt, Michael Ironside, Meg Ryan and Tim Robbins.

The attacker was also voted as the PFA player of the year as he helped Liverpool FC to finish in the top four and reach the Champions League final, where they were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid.

Speaking earlier this week, the Madrid centre-back suggested that Salah could have played the full 90 minutes had he been given an injection to ease the pain. He's not hard, I think he's a good coach, a good man.

However, after scoring 44 goals in his debut season with Liverpool, he says he wants to make history with his country in Russian Federation - he's not going there with the mentality that reaching finals is enough.

When asked if he will leave Liverpool, Salah told Egyptian TV channel ON ENT: "All that I can say is that I'm happy to be here and I've adapted to the prevailing atmosphere". I see the play well, he grabs my arm first and I fell to the other side, the injury happened to the other arm and they said that I gave him a judo hold. "I hope to play the first game against Uruguay, but that will depend on how I feel when it approaches". We want to make history and achieve something different. Panama will make their World Cup debut in Russian Federation, where the central Americans will face England, Belgium and Tunisia in Group G. But Hernan Dario Gomez's men will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes after this latest setback ahead of the June 14-July 15 showpiece. That's not going through my head.
