A woman is missing after a reported alligator attack in Davie Florida

Ronald Washington of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Friday afternoon in an interview on WPLG-TV that the agency had captured a 12½-foot-long alligator at the lake and that a necropsy on the animal revealed the severed arm.

FWC spokesman Rob Klepper said in a news release that Shizuka Matsuki, 47, of Plantation, was found at 9:49 p.m. Friday in a lake at Silver Lakes Rotary Nature Park. Animal control took the dog.

Myrna Bernard and her daughter Rachel Bernard, 18, live south of the pond and said alligator sightings are not rare.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the dogs, but not the woman. Dale Engle told the Sun Sentinel on Friday when the search began.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife, the state has averaged five unprovoked alligator bites yearly since 1948.

"Her dogs won't leave the pond", Engle said.

According to Detective Viviana Gallinal the caller said, "He had seen a woman walking two dogs and a short time later he sees that the dogs were by themselves and one of them had a fresh injury on it".

"I'm praying that nothing happened to her", Borrelli said.

After 15 years, " Legally Blonde " is getting another sequel and Reese Witherspoon's latest Instagram post confirms it. In " Legally Blonde 2", Elle heads to Washington, D.C., in an effort to get animal testing outlawed.

There has not been a significant trend in alligator attacks in the past decade, the FWC reports.

Residents in the area said that alligators were known to be in the water, and they wouldn't let their dogs walk without a leash because of this.

Sharon Estupinan said a park ranger warned her to walk her dogs farther away from the water's edge after she saw a 10-foot alligator in the pond three days ago.

Between 1948 and past year, there were 401 people bitten by alligators, including 24 fatalities, the commission has said.

In June 2016, a Nebraska toddler who was visiting a Disney resort in the Orlando area was grabbed and killed by a gator at one of the resort's lakes.

Friends of Matsuki said that she was a wonderful woman who loved to cook.

No additional details were immediately available.
